Despite his very tight schedule, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the All Progressives Grand Alliance gubernatorial candidate took time out to grace the burial ceremony of the mother of Chief Damian Okeke (Ogene Nanka), Vice President Ohanaeze Ndigbo at his country home, Nanka, Anambra State
Cee Cee Soludo’s arrival at the occasion momentarily changed the direction of the event, as the teeming crowd began to shout Odenigbo! Dike-Udo!. The crowd has to be officially controlled as they surged forward in excitement to receive the APGA gubernatorial candidate
Cee Cee Soludo while formally being received by Chief Okeke, expressed his heart-felt sympathy to the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Vice President over the loss of his beloved mother. He added that late madam Regina Okeke lived an eventful and a fulfilled life before bowing out gracefully at the ripe age of 110 years.
Chief Damian Okeke, in response, appreciated Soludo for finding time to attend his mother’s burial ceremony, adding that the entire Okeke’s family is happy and deeply grateful for his show of love and his comforting words to the family
On the political front, Chief Okeke told Soludo that since majority of the people of Anambra State are fully behind his governorship ambition, that he will surely be there with the people’s support
Madam Regina Okeke (Nee Emelionwu) also known as ‘Mama Ogene Nanka’ was aged 110 years before her death
